Meanwhile, Fredericksburg running back Stanley Zwinggi's audition for a Division I scholarship got off to a rousing start as he rushed for 286 yards and four touchdowns - including runs of 74 and 70 yards - in a 36-14 victory over Dripping Springs.

Both Tivy and Fredericksburg received gifts from Comfort during the offseason. Both of Comfort's running backs - Sergio Cisneros (2,574 yards in 2002) and Shane Jones (1,650) - transferred to the District 27-4A teams. Cisneros is at Fredericksburg and Jones is at Tivy.

With the performance of Zwinggi last Friday, it looks like Cisneros may be relegated to defense, where he also excelled at Comfort. But the Billies could have the best running back tandem in the state, regardless of classification.
