Late Game Heroics Give Bobcat Football a Win on the Road

GREELEY, Colo. - A fumble recovery by Texas State at the one yard line with 19.2 seconds to go on the clock sealed the game for the Bobcats. A 29-yard field goal by Andrew Ireland gave the Bobcats the lead with 2:11 left in the game. Texas State beat Northern Colorado on the road, 38-35 to bring its overall record to 2-1.
An interception by Morris Crosby with 10:35 to go in the second, gave the `Cats the ball at the Bears 31-yard line. Luke completed a 20-yard catch that set up an 11-yard run for Stan Zwinggi; for his first touchdown of the year and 14th of his career.
Rivas had two catches with 43 yards to finish the game. Zwinggi had 16 carries for 109 yards, while Canady had eight catches and 11 rushes for 83 all-purpose yards. Smith had nine and a half tackles, one sack, one interception and the game changing forced fumble to complete the day.
