FRISCO - Texas State junior running back Stan Zwinggi has been named the Southland Conference’s Offensive Player of the Week following his performance in the Bobcats’ 38-35 win over No. 15 Cal Poly last Saturday.
Zwinggi recorded his fourth straight 100-yard rushing game, dating back to the 2006 season, with 16 carries for 159 yards in Texas State’s 38-35 win over No. 15 Cal Poly.
He gave Texas State an early 7-0 lead when he broke free for a 92-yard touchdown run, the longest play from scrimmage in school history. The Fredericksburg native also tied a school record with four rushing touchdowns in the contest.
Zwinggi was part of a running game which accounted for 351 yards and 510 yards of total offense against a defense which was ranked among the top 10 in FCS last year.
